Our Humble Beginnings as TLC

TLC is born in 1993 through the Lesbian Resource Project.

A small but mighty group of women will build a sisterhood that was destined to become a Valley Treasure for decades to come. Notice the Hidden Singers, women who remained behind the wall to protect their jobs and families.

Emily Flathers was our first Artistic Director.
TLC Gains Momentum

TLC Sisterhood of Singers, March 1996.

TLC becomes a regular on the stages of Pride.

Kim McCreary becomes Artistic Director in 1995, and remains for 15 wonderful years.

TLC honors the victims of AIDS in 1995 by singing at the State Capital during the AIDS Quilt Display.

Terry Gunn becomes our new Executive Director.

After several years of submitting audition tapes, we finally had our big break...Arizona Women in Tune in lights!

We looked marvelous, and we sounded marvelous, too!

We blended our voices beautifully as we sang our National Anthem.

Our Growth Spurs Us on to New Heights

Talented musicians rise from the Sisterhood to perform special pieces. This is the drum ensemble, Us Gaias.

We hawk 50-50 raffle tickets during the Phoenix Mercury game.

Our For Good Dinner and Auction became our greatest fundraiser ever.
